About The Liberty Belles Women's Gun Club
Founded in 2016, the Liberty Belle's Women's Gun Club is a non-for-profit 501(c)7 club that promotes safety and gun handling located in Southern Indiana and we serve the Kentuckiana region. We are a club for women, which is run by women, to promote gun safety, personal protection, and education.
Our #1 focus is always on safety. Our Range Safety Officers are all female and are certified through the NRA with our President being a Chief Range Safety Officer. Also, we are always looking for ladies to step up to be a Range Safety Officer and will provide the training class to you at NO COST if you are approved to take the class. Approval on this is dependent on your safety on the range and attitude, not your shooting capabilities.
You DO NOT have to currently own a gun or have your carry permit to join us! If you are interested in purchasing a firearm, we are more than happy to personally help you with what would be a good fit for you and your situation. Also, we have several ladies that are willing to share so that you can try before you buy! That is a HUGE advantage to the club as the ladies have a variety of handguns. We only ask that you cover the cost of ammo (unless it is a .22LR, then we have club-provided ammo available). We also have the option, when shooting at our indoor range partner, American Shooters Clarksville, that you can rent a variety of firearms (you would need to purchase ammo for the rental at the range.)
The club meets once a month for meetings and we have several scheduled range days each month. We will also send out emails on our range day schedules for times, dates, and locations.
Our meetings are on the second Tues of each month from 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm (please verify meetings times as they may change due to store hours) at Bass Pro Shops located at 951 E. Lewis & Clark Pkwy, Clarksville, IN (please verify meeting location/time in case it is being held at a different venue/time). We meet in the theater that is located on the second floor in the camping section. The sign-in area is near the theater marquee. Different topics, guests and activities are covered monthly. The cost to join is $75 for the year (due by August 1 – we pro-rate monthly for partial year memberships) and you are welcome to attend the first meeting at no cost. Some of the meeting topics have included: dry fire, situational awareness, emergency planning, gun cleaning clinics, first aid, making first aid kits, target decorating, and more. We also have several guest speakers each year - including Jeremy Mull, Clark Co. Processor, female FBI agents (current and one of the first female agents in the program), SWAT members talking about their jobs and equipment, ISP on surviving active shooter situations and more. We try to have a variety of topics/guests/projects at our meetings to keep it interesting and educational for everyone. Also, if there is ever a topic/guest/project etc. that you would like to see, if we can make that happen, we will!

Our range days are scheduled year 'round the first Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm held at American Shooters (128 Bell Ave., Clarksville, IN). The cost for Liberty Belle members is at a reduced rate. Please contact us directly for the range fee. The cost for gun rental/ammo would be additional if you need it.
For the rare case of an event cancellation, we try to give a 24+ hour notice online (website, Facebook as well as an email to paid members).
If you do not have any equipment, if we know that you are planning on attending ahead of time, please let us know and we will bring everything for a new shooter. Even if you have NEVER shot a gun before, we want you to join us. We were all new to shooting at one time, and we want to spread the joy and security that you get when you learn to shoot with you!
We offer education and work with an NRA-certified instructor to offer low-cost training so that you can learn and then put your skills to work.
The minimum age to join the club is 21 years old and you must be able to legally own/operate a firearm per local state and federal laws.

There is no cost to sit in on your first meeting. If you decide to join us, it is $75/year for membership dues to cover the costs of the club (we pro-rate monthly - our new year is August 1).
